Pik pik piak piak

Following the huge success of Ong-Bak, came Tom Yum Goong, the next power action movie from the Land of Thousand Smiles. Starring Tony Jaa, the Jackie Chan of the Land of Thousand Smiles. Both movies bring out the ancient thai martial arts to a whole new level. If the action can streamline more with the style and flow of the movie and to get some serious story writer to fill in some truly amazing storyline, it might would turn out to be just the perfect movie that will leave behind glory that others will find hard to catch up. Probably consider getting 袁和平 (Yuen Woo Ping) to be the martial art director might just do the trick.

The plot might be a little thin, I have to say but how many big major good action movies have very good plot? 沙破狼 (SPL aka Sha Po Lang) is good though again the plot is only slight thicker than what you get from the mentioned titles above. Still I must credit them, for it is a very long time since I last saw some seriously good action packed martial art styled movie. Not forgetting to mention that some of my favourite action actors like Sammo Hung and Donnie Yen are in it.

七剑 (Seven Sword) has very very good martial art choreography that simply perfect it to an art form, but sadly, the plot is not exciting enough to entice but the martial art definitely does. Again Donnie Yen is there. So chinese martial art is making wave even in the western world. Matrix and Danny the dog are perfectly good examples. Probably the thai ancient martial art will also be making waves soon. You never know.
